BASH 2027 - Saturday, April 24

Established in 1971, BASH (Building A Scholastic Heritage) unites alumni, families and friends in a shared commitment to making Creighton Prep accessible to more than 1,000 young men from across the Omaha metro area. This year, Prep provided $6.4 million in financial assistance to nearly 60 percent of our students and families. To help address that level of need, every dollar we raise through BASH directly supports financial assistance.

It is an exciting, fun-filled time highlighted by a wonderful evening in the Heider Center complete with a gourmet dinner, raise-the-paddle, auction and raffle drawing. Many people will put forth a tremendous effort to make the night a reality, including Prep students and staff along with hundreds of volunteers and donors who generously give their time, talent and resources.

BASH 2027 will take place Saturday, April 24, 2027, with the online auction running from Monday, April 19 through Saturday, April 24.

Advertising

The BASH book is full of important event information and will be made available in printed form at the event. In addition, it will be shared via email and social media as well as links on the Prep website and BASH auction site prior to the event day.

Hundreds of Prep families, alumni from far and near, BASH volunteers and friends in the community will be able to view the book.

BASH 2026 is partnering with Iridian Group to create a vibrant and professional book. This partnership will ensure that your advertisement will be showcased in a quality publication.

The catalog advertising committee is led by Megan Addy, Tim Reed '89 and Tim Wilson.

History

The first BASH (Building A Scholastic Heritage) was held in the spring of 1971 at the school. The event was chaired by J. Don Ashford and Mrs. John Cleary and supported by a team of 20 volunteers. Approximately $25,000 was raised that evening for the students at Creighton Prep. The event included a silent auction, live auction and dinner. Among the many items sold included a trampoline, a waterbed, a bathing suit, several scholarships and even dinner with the Jesuits.

Since that premier event, BASH has grown into an extraordinary community-wide celebration with 600-800 guests attending each year. Then and now, the tremendous success of BASH would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of volunteers as well as the generous support and in-kind donations from our parents, alumni, friends and businesses. Donor support has also continued to grow nearly every year.

BASH serves as a cornerstone of our commitment to financial accessibility for 1,000 young men. This year, we provided $6.4 million in financial assistance to over half of our students and families. Bottom line, every dollar raised through BASH ensures that a transformative Prep experience remains within reach for our community.

Raffle

Please help us make BASH a great success by purchasing one or more raffle tickets! Your support is critical in helping ensure that we are able to provide assistance to all young men who want to attend Prep, regardless of their financial means.

Beginning January 25, 2026, you can purchase raffle ticket(s) ONLINE with a debit card or via Venmo!

To make a purchase, use this form or purchase your raffle ticket(s) via Venmo (Memo: "BASH Raffle"). If prompted, the phone number is (402) 214-5730. Please be sure to reference BASH raffle tickets in the description.

If purchased online, your email receipt is proof of your raffle ticket purchase, and a BASH representative will complete your ticket stub(s) and enter them in the drawing.

Ticket pricing: 1 for $100, 3 for $250, 7 for $500 or 15 for $1000

Prizes:
1st place: $10,000
2nd place: $5,000
3rd place: $2,500

Raffle tickets may be purchased with cash, check or a debit card. The drawing will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m.

Our students come from a wide range of family income levels, over 55 zip codes and more than 70 sending schools. Your investment through BASH helps ensure our students receive an education that prepares them for lifelong success as men of faith, scholarship, leadership and service.

Raffle Program for Students-Families-Faculty-Staff

We are asking that each Creighton Prep family supports BASH 2026 by purchasing or selling one or more raffle tickets.

You can help greatly by purchasing a raffle ticket and/or suggesting someone close to him like an aunt, uncle or grandparent who might have an interest in purchasing one or more tickets.

TICKET PRICES AND GRAND PRIZES

Tickets can be purchased with a debit card on our website at CreightonPrep.org/BashRaffle or via Venmo @CreightonPrep (Memo: "BASH Raffle - Seller Name").

Tickets are 1 for $100, 3 for $250, 7 for $500 and 15 for $1,000.

The drawing will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 8 p.m. for these prizes:

1st place: $10,000
2nd place: $5,000
3rd place: $2,500

INCENTIVES FOR SELLING

STUDENTS INDIVIDUAL INCENTIVE
- For each ticket they sell by Friday, April 24, their name will be entered into a drawing to win $100. One winner per grade level.
STUDENTS GRADE LEVEL INCENTIVE
- Class Cup points will be awarded to the grade level that sells the most tickets by Friday, April 24.
  - 400 points for 1st place
  - 300 points for 2nd place
  - 200 points for 3rd place
  - 100 points for 4th place
ALL-SCHOOL INCENTIVE
- If a school-wide goal of $60,000 in tickets are sold by Friday, April 24, the student body can wear hoodies, athletic shorts and sweatpants on Monday, April 27, Tuesday April 28, Wednesday, April 29, Friday, May 1 and Monday, May 4.
FAMILIES
- For each ticket(s) you sell by Friday, April 24, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $1,000 tuition credit to your family’s FACTS account.
FACULTY/STAFF
- For each ticket(s) they sell by Friday, April 24, their name will be entered into a drawing to win $250.

TIPS FOR SELLING

Students can turn in sold tickets to their community period moderator, Mrs. Trent or Mrs. Peyton at the front desk or anyone in the Advancement Office (located near the east entrance).
Be sure that YOUR SON'S NAME is listed as the seller so that your family gets credit and is entered into the drawings.
If your son needs sales leads, please send him to the Advancement Office, and they will provide him with names to call.

General Underwriting

Hosting an event of this caliber takes a considerable amount of resources: catering, rentals, production, etc. To help offset these costs, consider donating to the general underwriting fund.

As we do every year, we will rely on many Prep student volunteers to make BASH 2026 a success!

From selling raffle tickets in the months leading up to BASH to helping with auction item photos the week of BASH or serving dinner to attendees on Saturday, April 25, Prep students will have many opportunities to help. They can sign up HERE to volunteer beginning Wednesday, February 25.
