Four Celebrated at the 2021 Loyola Dinner of Honor and Distinction
The Henry L. Sullivan, S.J. Campus Center was the setting for a crowd of supporters at the 2021 Loyola Dinner of Honor and Distinction on Wednesday, October 27 where four outstanding individuals were honored. A 6 p.m. cocktail reception was followed by a welcome, introductions and a prayer from Creighton Prep President Rev. Matthew Spotts, S.J. then dinner and the awards program followed.
During the program, Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, S.J. received the Sword of St. Ignatius as a person who has striven to demonstrate exemplary service for the greater glory of God. In addition, Thomas M. Belford '71 was honored for his distinguished service to Prep and Gerry Morrow Lauritzen was presented the Ancilla Domini Award in recognition of her caring, nurturing and unselfish dedication to her faith, family and community. Dave Hefflinger '65 was also celebrated as Alumnus of the Year for being an individual who embodies the values Prep inspires to instill in its graduates through living a life devoted to serving others.
