Welcome to Creighton Prep's 2019 Summer Camps. We are excited to host your boys and girls from grades K through 12 on our campus this summer at a variety of athletic camps and an innovation camp. Take a look at the list below of camps, dates, times and other details. Registration is divided by grade level so choose the corresponding grade level your student will be entering in the fall of 2019.

You can pay online via PayPal or send a check. Please make checks payable to Creighton Prep and mail to the camp's coach at Prep. Contact your coach for questions about financial assistance.

Basketball Academy

Basketball Academy

OVERVIEW
The coaching staff at Creighton Prep invites you to the Creighton Prep Basketball Academy. We will be spending seven nights working on the fundamentals of the game as well as live competition. We will be teaching form shooting, ball-handling, footwork, post play, defense, team offense, team defense and other fundamentals of the game. This is a great introductory to the incoming freshmen who have an interest in basketball.

STAFF
The staff includes Josh Luedtke (Varsity Coach), Andy King (Varsity Assistant), Nick Thompson (JV Coach), Eric Thompson (Sophomore Coach) and Ralph Setter (Freshman Coach). Also current and former players will be on hand to help assist the camp and work with the future players.

Basketball Camp

Basketball Camp - CLOSED

OVERVIEW
At our camps, we emphasize the importance of the skills and fundamentals of basketball to all campers. The camp will allow each camper to improve his overall game and give him the groundwork to improve his game throughout the summer. Our campers will drill and compete within their age groups in various skill competitions such as dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting and defense. Beyond individual skill development, we emphasize the importance of teamwork, getting good grades and sportsmanship.

Grade Level: 3 – 9

  • Session 1: June 3 – 6 (Going into grades 3, 4, and 5) 9 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Session 2: June 3 – 6 (Going into grades 6, 7, and 8) 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Session 3: June 10 – 13 (Incoming freshmen) 12:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Cost: $95 per session (includes a t-shirt)

Football Camp

Football Camp - CLOSED

OVERVIEW
The philosophy of the camp is to have fun and learn the fundamentals of the game of football. The camp is intended for players of all experience levels and campers will be separated by grade level. Each camper will participate in competitive drills and games utilizing teamwork and emphasizing sportsmanship. 

STAFF
The camp coaches are current Creighton Prep football coaches, players and alumni.

Football Camp for Freshman Football

Football Camp for Freshman Football 

OVERVIEW
This camp is for any registered incoming freshman and is open to all experience levels. All freshmen who plan on playing football in the fall are encouraged to attend. 

BENEFITS

  • Learn terms, plays and techniques used by the Creighton Prep varsity football team.
  • Coached by the Prep coaching staff.
  • Learn Prep's offense and defense.
  • Meet other incoming freshmen from all over the city.
  • Practice and develop football-specific skills and concepts.

Innovation STEAM Camp

Innovation STEAM Camp - CLOSED

OVERVIEW
If you have students interested in innovation and creation in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) then this is the camp for them! Sessions being offered are held in the new ToMorrow Labs at Creighton Prep. Activities will include 3D printing, laser cutting and doing some basic circuitry.

Grade Level: 6 – 8 (Limited to 20 students)
Location: Creighton Prep – ToMorrow Labs

Lacrosse Jr. Varsity League

Lacrosse Jr. Varsity League

OVERVIEW 
Keep your skills sharp and have fun during the summer. The Omaha Summer Lacrosse Organization (OSLO) is back and ready for action this summer. Each player has the option of choosing between a varsity and junior varsity level. Each league will run on a separate night at Creighton Prep. The JV league will run on Thursdays. We are functioning as a “summer camp” at Creighton Prep and running all of the finances through their Business Office. 


DETAILS
 
Grade Level: Incoming 8th graders, freshmen and sophomores. This level is also for other high school players with less than two years’ experience. 
Dates: June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 2, 9, 16, 23 (Tuesdays) 
Game Times: 5:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Games will have 12 minute running quarters. 
Location: Carmen & Don Leahy Stadium at Creighton Prep 
Cost: $130 and includes: 

  • Reversible practice jersey
  • League T-shirt
  • Drawstring bag
  • Harrow Phone Popsocket
  • High school coach supervision
  • Games officiated by NELAX referees
  • Trainer on site

OVERVIEW

Soccer Camp

OVERVIEW
Creighton Prep soccer camp where the focus is fun! 
Our soccer camp is for boys and girls from 5 to 12 years old (kindergarten through 6th grade). The emphasis is on learning and loving the game of soccer. 

STAFF
The camp is organized and supervised by Creighton Prep soccer coaches Tom Hoover and Steve Monzu in addition to male and female high school players from Creighton Prep and other local high schools. 

DETAILS 
Grade Level: K – 7 (Boys and girls) 
Location: Creighton Prep – Leahy Stadium (enter in the west lot)
Dates/Times: 

  • Session 1: June 3 – 7, 9am – 11:30 a.m.
  • Session 2: June 10 – 14, 9am – 11:30 a.m.

Cost: $110 for one child per session 
What to Bring: A water bottle, a soccer ball and a snack (No peanut snacks please.)

Speech & Debate Camp

Speech & Debate Camp

OVERVIEW
The coaching staff at Creighton Prep joins the coaching staff at Marian High to provide a four-day summer camp. We will spend each day giving an overview of the events of speech and debate with an emphasis on literature interpretation, public speaking, and Congressional debate. From selecting a performance category, finding, researching, writing and preparing the performance, participants will be guided on a step-by-step individualized basis and critiqued by two head coaches, their assistant coaches, recent alumni, and student members of their current squads.

Grade Level: Students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grades for the 2019-2020 school year. 
Dates/Times: July 8 - 11, 12:30-3 p.m.
Location: Creighton Prep 
Cost: $175 includes a T-shirt

Speed and Agility Camp

Speed and Agility Camp - CLOSED

GOALS

DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 1 – 1½ hours of speed and agility drills
  • 1 – 1½ hours of competition/games: Football, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, handball, other speed and agility games

Grade Level: 3 – 8 (Boys & Girls)
Location: Check-in will be in the Heider Center lobby every day
Dates/Times:

  • Session 1: May 28-31, 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. for incoming 3rd-5th graders 
  • Session 2: May 28-31, 12:30 - 3 p.m. for incoming 6th-8th graders

Cost: $85 (includes a t-shirt) per session 
What to Bring: Indoor athletic shoes and water

Strength and Conditioning Camp

Strength and Conditioning Camp

OVERVIEW
Creighton Prep’s strength and conditioning camp will maximize the potential of each student-athlete through a comprehensive four-week training program. It will teach vital components involved in achieving excellence in athletic performance. Each student-athlete will develop speed, agility and conditioning using proper technique in a safe, supervised environment. 

DETAILS 
Grade Level: Incoming Freshmen 
Location: Creighton Prep – Weight Room 
Dates/Times: Class does NOT meet on Wednesdays

  • Session 1: June 3-28, 10 – 10:55 a.m.
  • Session 2: June 3-28, 11 – 11:55 a.m.
  • Session 3: June 3-28, 12 – 12:55 p.m.
  • There is a limit to 50 students per time slot

Cost: $150 per session

This camp is for those students who are new or fairly new to wrestling and want to learn the basics.
