Creighton Prep would like to extend its sincere thanks to the attendees, auction donors, advertisers, underwriting and corporate table sponsors, and the volunteers who made Bowtie BASH 2018, Tied Together in Faith, Scholarship, Leadership and Service such a memorable event on Saturday, April 21.
The monies raised during BASH are a key component in the school’s ability to keep tuition affordable for everyone as well as to provide more than $2 million in financial assistance annually to approximately 45 percent of Prep students.
On April 21, 670 guests gathered in the Heider Center for this 48th annual fundraiser where over 286 silent auction items and 31 live auction items were up for bid. Director of Events Amy Knight said the successful event raised over $825,000.
Highlights of Bowtie BASH 2018, Tied Together in Faith, Scholarship, Leadership and Service included remarks by Prep junior Michael Sitti ‘19 who talked about his experience at the school and the support of his parents. Then guests raised their paddles to donate to Prep and bid on live auction items such as a dive trip to Saint Lucia, golf for four in Palm Beach, Florida, a collection of Italian wines and dinner with three Fr. Toms (Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ as well as Fr. Tom Merkel, SJ and Fr. Tom Fangman ’80). The auction concluded at 9:30 p.m.
