Congratulations to the Creighton Prep swim team on a record 12th consecutive state title with a 409-point performance at the Devaney Center in Lincoln on Saturday, February 24. Highlights included victories in three relays and four individual events.

The 200 medley relay team of Ray Cronin ‘18, Conner Funke ‘18, Colin LaFave ’18 and Nick Soltys ’18 set a state record. The winning 200 free relay team included Jalen Nichols ‘18, Kayden McCullough ‘19, Andrew Hood ’21 and Nick Soltys ’18, and the winning 400 free relay team consisted of Colin LaFave ‘18, Kayden McCullough ‘18, Rush Clark ‘20 and Conner Funke ’18.

Colin LaFave ‘18 also won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke events, and Conner Funke ’18 won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke races.

"The senior class had such a strong effect on keeping the team rolling confidently in a good direction,” said Head Coach Tom Beck ’84. “The leadership they provided was palpable, and the way they stepped up and competed at an extremely high level at State really slammed the door on any other teams to be able to stay close to our point total."
