Host Family Needed for Two 10th Grade Boys for Fall 2019

Parents, ROKUS Education Link invites you to share your home, heart and traditions with two students who need host families for the 2019-2020 school year at Prep. They are Kevin Lee and Chris Kim.

Kevin is currently attending Concordia High School as a 9th grader. He is an excellent English speaker, very bright, smart and eager to learn, and Chris is an existing 9th grade student at Prep, so many of his classmates may already know him.

Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding experience! Your children will gain a broader perspective of another’s culture while learning more about geography, diversity and communication. Your family members will also become citizen diplomats in creating positive impressions of America and Americans.

This unique program creates memories and friendships that can last forever. To learn more, please contact Mison Cowell at ROKUS Education Link at 402-301-5257 or misoncowell.korea@gmail.com.

Operation Others – Thank You!
Posted 01/02/2019 02:37PM

Thanks to everyone in the Prep community who helped set up, pack and deliver Operation Others food bags to 1,220 materially-poor families in our community during the 2018 Delivery Weekend (December 20-22). The food was distributed in 34 metro area ZIP codes, and each bag contained more than 20 food items and a handmade Christmas card. This was the 52nd consecutive annual delivery in the program's history.

Students from all eight Omaha Catholic high schools, alumni, parents, former Operation Others Core Team members, friends, and others helped during Delivery Weekend. Donations of time, money and other resources from additional people were critical to the event’s success as well.

"It was amazing to see so many volunteers giving freely to make Christmas a bit brighter for materially-poor families," said Operation Others program moderator Jerry Kinney.

For questions or additional information on Operation Others, please email Jerry Kinney at jkinney@creightonprep.org.
