MAKING PREP AFFORDABLE

A Creighton Prep education is worth so much in terms of college scholarships, character, faith, and lifetime friendships. Our goal is to keep Prep accessible and affordable for anyone who wants the opportunity of a Jesuit education. Prep offers over $2 million in financial assistance to 52 percent of its students, which ranks Prep in the top 20 percent of Jesuit high schools in the amount of assistance annually given. For those families who may need it, financial assistance can come in the form of scholarships, work grants and financial aid grants.

Tuition & Fees

The average 2020-2021 tuition for a Creighton Prep student is $11,580. The school makes up the difference of the actual cost per student through endowment distribution, fundraising and other operating revenues. Our tuition is the third-lowest among the 60 secondary schools in the Jesuit Schools Network in the United States.

School Tuition for the 2020-2021 school year:

Freshmen     $11,430
Sophomores $11,530
Juniors$11,630
Seniors$11,730

Additional costs include a $350 registration fee. All Prep students are provided a complete and balanced, totally inclusive lunchtime service. An annual student lunch fee of $550 will be included in the tuition payment plan of your choice. The technology fee is $175 annually. Books and apps average $150-200.

Please email Debbie Novotny or call her at 402-548-3849 if you have questions concerning tuition or special payment plans.

Academic Scholarships

Academic scholarships are awarded on many levels, with the amounts and number of scholarships determined each year based on the quality of the student’s January entrance exam test scores. We are dedicated to making an investment in qualified students, and we award more scholarships than any other school in the city, as well as the largest scholarships.

It is highly recommended that students take the entrance exam at the school they will most likely attend in the fall if they want to qualify for academic scholarships. Students taking the test at a later make-up date cannot qualify for academic scholarships.

For questions regarding academic scholarships, please email Josh Luedtke, Director of Admissions, or call him at 402-548-3872.

Financial Assistance

Prep can provide financial aid to any young man who is academically qualified and demonstrates need. Whether a student is receiving need-based assistance in the form of financial aid or work grants or a unique payment plan, we will work with families to create the best situation financially that is institutionally sound.

Freshman Financial Assistance Example

Freshman Tuition$11,430
Work Grant$1,000
Financial Aid Grant   $4,500
Total Tuition Due$5,930

Work Grant

As far back as 1911, Prep has provided jobs at school to help students pay their tuition. Only freshman and sophomore students who qualify for financial aid will receive a work grant in the form of a $1,000 credit to their tuition. The student must complete 100 hours of work at school to fulfill the work grant. For more information, email Mary McGuire or call her at 402-548-3848.
