What is the Creighton prep volunteer corps?

The Creighton Prep Volunteer Corps is a program that offers a Creighton Prep alumnus or an alumnus of another Jesuit high school/university who recently graduated from college the opportunity to give a year of his life in service as a full-time volunteer at the school. Volunteers serve in collaboration with other men and women who share a commitment to Jesuit education

CPVC volunteers are challenged to be Men for Others by working in the ministry of Jesuit secondary education and by living in community with other CPVC volunteers.

What do CPVC volunteers do?

CPVC volunteers are involved in a variety works. Areas of possible service include: academic counseling and tutoring, teaching, pastoral activities, service program activities, coaching, institutional advancement, etc.

Placements are made with the objective of matching a volunteer’s interests, background and abilities with the expressed needs of the school.

What are the basic qualifications of a CPVC volunteer?

  • A Creighton Prep alumnus or an alumnus of another Jesuit high school/university who recently graduated from college
  • Willingness to make a one-year commitment over the course of an academic year
  • Christian motivation for service
  • Desire and ability to work and live with others
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, self-starter
