JAY Days

The best way to learn if Creighton Prep is right for you is to experience Prep in person during one of our "Jay Days." Any 7th or 8th-grade prospective or accepted student is invited to spend the day shadowing a current Creighton Prep student. See what a day in the life of a Junior Jay entails, from start to finish -- and lunch is on us! 

Event Day Details

  • Starts at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.
  • Bring a book, pen and notebook. 
  • Enter at the Sullivan Center entrance on the west side of the school accompanied by a parent at 7:45 a.m. Parents are asked to pick up their son at this same location at 2 p.m.
  • Check into the High School Office and meet your ambassador for the day. 
  • Lunch will be provided. 
  • Parent Portion (optional): Parents are welcome to stay and walk through some FAQs about Creighton Prep and the admissions process. Plan to stay for 15-30 minutes after dropping off your son, to get your questions answered!

Dress Code & Late Starts

  • When there is an 8:35 a.m Late Start, shadows should arrive at 8:20 a.m. that morning.

    • On all normal days,
    • On Formal Dress Days for our annual Service Mass. All students should wear a dress shirt and tie along with the usual dress code.

We suggest a freshman or sophomore to be the ambassador for the day.
For Shadow Days, parents are invited to join us for a quick Parent session lasting no more than 30 minutes. We'll give you a quick overview of the application process, introduce you to some admin members and answer any questions you may have.

Parent Permission

Your child has volunteered to participate in the Creighton Preparatory Shadow Days. This activity will take place under the guidance and supervision of employee(s) from the school. If you would like your child to participate in this activity, please review the following statement of consent and release of liability and mark the Parent Permission Confirmation box below.

As parent or legal guardian, I remain fully responsible for any legal responsibility that may result from personal actions taken by my child. In agreeing to this form, I understand and agree to absolve and hold harmless Creighton Preparatory School and all sponsors, of blame for any injury, harm, loss or inconvenience in any of the activities associated with this activity.

Creighton Prep may use and publish online, in print or in other media the photograph, likeness, and video and/or audio recording of event participants for educational or news stories, illustration and marketing purposes. I understand that my child’s name will NOT be used. Additionally, no home address or telephone number will appear with such work or image. If parents do not want Creighton Prep to use or publish these items related to your child, you must notify the school in writing.

My child has a health concern for which an Emergency Action Plan and/or medication is on file in the school office.  It is essential that my child’s Emergency Action Plan and/or medication accompany my child during this event, and I authorize the designated school representative to dispense the necessary medication as needed.
