Questions?
See below for more information on items you may have received in your acceptance packet.
MAGIS SCHOLARS PROGRAM
If your son received information about the Magis Scholars Program with your admissions packet, he will be enrolled in this year-long course for freshman year only. This course assists in preparing freshmen to handle the rigors of a college preparatory curriculum. Topics covered are organization, time management, study habits and strategies, test taking strategies, self-advocacy, vocabulary development, reading comprehension and an introduction to critical thinking skills.
Save the Dates!
Students in our Magis Scholars Program are required to take the Magis Scholars Summer Course. See below for details and contact Bridget Cannon-Hale for questions.
- Monday, July 28-Friday, August 1
- Each day is 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
1:1 IPAD Program
iPads, electronic textbooks and apps are essential learning tools at Prep. Your son will submit the majority of his work electronically. This provides innovative learning opportunities for your son and an overall cost savings to you. All students will receive an iPad (10th generation) 10.9” 256GB, four-year insurance for any accidental damage to the iPad, a protective case with keyboard and a stylus. In addition, most electronic textbooks will be available to him on the first days of class through our institutionally negotiated cost. These materials are paid for through the annual Technology, Textbooks & Supplies Fee. Please note that there will still be some books and materials that you will have to purchase.
At Registration Night, we will share the details for rolling out these devices to the freshmen, including a summer orientation date with his JaySquad (see below). Parents do not need to purchase any technology hardware.
For questions about the 1:1 iPad program, contact Beth Ginger.
JAYSQUADS
JaySquads are just one way we set students up with their community right away - an opportunity to build multi-directional relationships within the brotherhood. JaySquads include a group of 6-8 students made up from two upperclassmen leaders and four incoming freshmen. The squad is a resource and support for all of a student’s experiences at Prep and is designed to foster relationships, provide academic support, create a network for activities and develop leadership skills. JaySquads have scheduled meetings once a month during the first semester where students participate in relationship building activities. In addition to our monthly get-togethers, the upperclassmen leaders check in with the freshman members of their JaySquad regularly via email and text throughout the first semester (and often beyond!). Imagine JaySquads as a freshman orientation program that extends beyond just one day—lasting throughout the entire first semester.
For more information about JaySquads, contact Anne Hefflinger or Kat Gorringe.

SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS
There are several ways Creighton Prep communicates with families. Take a look at the different ways you can expect to hear from us:
- Between now and the start of the school year, our admissions team will periodically send email updates to incoming freshman parents. These emails will have reminders and details to help keep you up-to-date on getting your son ready for school in August. Prep will also primarily use email to communicate with families throughout the year.
- The Prepped Parent is a weekly email sent to all Prep families every Friday during the school year. This is where you'll learn about upcoming school, activity and athletic events.
- The school website is a great place to find more detailed information, faculty and staff contacts, school schedules and athletic information.
- Social media is another way to keep in touch with all things Prep.
- Follow Creighton Prep Admissions on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and Tik Tok for reminders throughout the summer.
- Follow our main Prep channels on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn, too!
