1. Submit application and take Prep's 8th Grade Scholarship & Entrance Exam, Saturday, January 11 at 8 a.m.
There is no fee to take the exam at Prep.
Your application is your test sign up. Submitting your application let's us know to expect you on Saturday, January 11 for the exam. Creating your Parent Portal account at the link below will walk you through submitting your application and also be the place where you keep track of your application process checklist.
Create your Parent Portal Account
You can still apply to Creighton Prep if you take the 8th Grade Exam somewhere else. Submit your application by creating your Parent Portal account above and let us know where you'll be testing.
2. Submit the Release of Records & Recommendation Form to your son’s current school (blue form provided at the Prep Entrance Exam). This authorizes the school to provide Prep with your son’s grades from 7th and 8th grade and the results of any standardized tests.
This form will also be available in your Parent Portal beginning December 1, 2024. They are due to Prep by January 24, 2025. You’ll see this step marked complete in your Parent Portal Account when we have received these items.
4. Apply for an Income-Based Tuition adjustment (optional) by creating a FACTS account and completing the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment form.
Learn more about Income-Based tuition here.
5. Watch for admissions decisions. Once all steps have been completed, admissions decisions will be sent via email and post the week of February 10, 2025.
As a reminder, your application is your test sign up.
- The test takes approximately 3-3.5 hours
- 8:00 - 11:30 a.m.
- Drop off and pick up on the west side of campus at the Sullivan Center entrance (same side as the bell tower)
- Two #2 pencils will be provided, no calculators are allowed
- Results will be mailed with admissions decisions the week of February 10, 2024
Even if you’re not in 8th grade yet, you can get a head start by taking the 7th Grade Pre-Entrance Exam. It’s a great way to see what the test is like and practice before taking the test in 8th grade.
